I wonder how much of this can Watever see. As reader I'm depressed, but Watever definitely don't see flashback, and was looking at this from a top-down auto-battler. All the interaction with the characters are gift, "character is happy", "character is angry", etc.
All they saw is that yvolka die, and MC skills skyrocket.
