Also setting her up as a threat at the end of the chapter doesn't work because we know her confidence to beat the MC is because she think the gang thing was false, which we know it isn't. So she basically already admitted she can't win.

I think the author isn't setting her up as a threat but rather showing how stuck up high-and-mighty she is, the fun of this manwha is watching them falling down. We already know that our FL is a force of nature, though we still have to learn about parts of her past which made her this way.
