What an amazing ending to season 1! One underrated aspect of good revenge stories is how the actions of the avenger can improve lives as a side effect, or even inspire. Karma was focused on the revenge aspect of course, but I bet she couldnt have imagined how positively she impacted the victims of those monsters! Being a hero to others without noticing. 😭

Chief Baek's vision of a life beyond revenge for Lee, especially how Karma's "anomalies" will tie into that, is exciting! I predict that Karma might gain back more of her humanity by the end of the story. The fact she is able to experience friendship with the freckled girl is a good sign. She was made into a monster with circumstances beyond her control, and just like Lee, I want her to have a chance at happiness. Her fight against Cha could be a battle of "A true monster/demon" vs "Someone who was made into a monster but gained back her humanity". I smell incoming peak regardless!

I hope Lee takes Karma in as his own and gives her the love she was denied. That would be a great ending 😢

I do hope Karma doesn't lose her edge and starts going soft as even without a cheats/systems/powers, this is my among top bullying series.
I think Karma can remain a stone cold badass but have a degree of empathy gained back so she can keep fighting. Maybe her motive can change from not only avenging Hyena, but protecting Lee if Cha were to go through with her past threat and attempt to kill him. That could be her learning to love her new dad.

Which is what at worst I want to happen.

So Karma is a daddy's girl, huh? I can't remember if that was already mentioned. I can only remember the part when she said her ideal type is a strong guy, followed by a picture of the vice chairman doing lifts.

So maybe she's doing all that just because she wants to receive love and recognition from the chairman.

One thing is standing up for yourself or someone else and another is outright murdering and torturing others. That's what this "avenger" did and it left way, way more people scarred for life than the "inspired" ones. I hope what comes around goes around and Karma and the father get their fill. None of the main characters deserve a "life after the revenge"

What a great end to an exciting series. Looking forward to Season 2. Thanks for the translations.

It's pretty clearly expressed through the lenses of Chief Baek that the author does not believe revenge at all cost is not morale or righteous or even desirable. Yet throughout the course of the story and especially within Lee Myung-Jun's monologue, the injustice and unfairness of the world is highlighted. When the world will not enact justice on those who did wrong, what options do you have other than to take revenge yourself? Revenge is sweet, and even cathartic, which is what make this series such an enjoyable read.

The cycle of revenge is a theme that is often explored in stories like this, and I'm interested to see how the author plans to tackle it in the next season. I predict there will not be a good end for Lee Myung-Jun as Chief Baek hopes, but Karma's fate is to be decided.

I really like the idea of Karma who was made into a monster regaining her humanity while going up against the true monsters (Hyena's bullies and relatives) who willingly became what they are unlike her. Also like the idea of Karma the psychopath having to be the one to ultimately bring her stepfather his humanity back and save him from the cold, calculating monster that he's become.

Also, on other news, so her being made into a lab rat by her father is a real thing. I mean of course it is, since she already showed the black veins. But when she was telling that story to Moon's now ex-bf, I thought it was more akin to joker's "Do you know how I got this smile" backstory.

Lastly, lol poor Eunjin, I can't help but feel sympathetic to her. She did some horrible stuff to Hyena and Ji Jieun and whoever else, her and her brother tormented. But she sure as heck ain't her brother or Moon YeSing, yet she seems to have got the worst end (K to be fair the brother is worse off now being quadriplegic haha but fuck that guy :ROFLMAO:). I almost feel like her life of being at the mercy of loansharks, having to drop out of school to work to death to repay a debt she inherited is a fate worse than death.

Karma, as a concept, doesn’t exist and it’s solely tied down to our own actions and wishes. Btw, our main character, Karma, isn’t a psychopath, but a sociopath. First of all, she clearly wasn’t born with ASPD, but her childhood experiences and traumas led to her developing one. Also, she’s not completely emotionless, can seemingly form weak attachments, albeit with difficulty, is impulsive, violent and quick to anger. These are all typical traits of a sociopath. Moon’s father, on the other hand, was closer to a psychopath, cold, emotionless, manipulative and calculating.

Ngl, even though she did deserve it, I did feel really bad for Eunjin at the end. Honestly glad to see those 3 bullies of hers get hit by that truck
