From the start, this series hasn't been shy with death and destruction. Life is cheap, bad things happen often, and supporting characters are killed off frequently. Watering down violence to make it acceptable to a wider audience is something that doesn't happen here.

I find it in really bad taste, that the two mercs died like that, for no reason, when it could've been avoided.
You want to tell me nobody felt the movement of demonic energy, or noticed the mage started doing something, and just sat there, and let 2 people die?

good point, i kinda forgot because the art is so generic, so i just automatically filed it under default quorean comic when returning to a chapter.
lets hope it doesnt suffer the same fate as helmut, the degeneration of that one stung a little.

everyone is supposed to be relaxing after a close encounter with death, such a killing is a trope centuries if not millennia old. yeah its somewhat cheap, but the plot has to progress, unless the author then goes on to focus on the drama from those kills its a perfectly acceptable and valid plot device.
its not like the author killed beloved characters to squeeze out shock and drama like say urobutcher would, its just tertiary characters - aka kindling for the story flames.

the mousey protag and the mcguffin personified accompaniment are generic as fuck. the setting visuals are generic as fuck. the cannon fodder is about as original as tolkien orcs and elves.

that aint what made the series readable. people dont play actual roguelikes and dorf fort clones for the visuals. or the story. or the originality. or the performance. or the stability of code.

my simian in christ, i have been reading quorean comics for well over a decade. the art in its entirety consists of: the fucking characters, the fucking background, and the fucking action animation.
i do not know why you wish to sublimate art to a single one of those concepts, but i give you a heart-felt Fuck You for it.

Anyhow, a decade? I've been in this scene since 2005 Though I was young at the time, but if we go by time then I have more experience in it.
