Chinchin is a slang word for penis in Japanese...I wonder if tintinnabulum sounds like chinchin-abulum.

Yeah i think so, in the interview at the end of the volume they say : "And its name tintinnabulum has sonororities that, in japanese, leaves little room for doubt".
