It was stated that his ability more than doubled the XP, shouldn't that mean that when he took it all back they shouldn't get this weak? If beginner level magic was the outcome when a former top level mage attempted to use magic, I would love to see this XP curve.

The chopped up chapters are annoying.
But this MC has no balls or intelligence. You’ve been mistreated for years and you have no anger? No sadness?
and the former guild members shouldn’t be that weak after MC reclaimed the XP. They definitely weren’t beginners when they met MC. Unless he’s been boosting them their entire careers they should still be decently strong.
