I think that was more of a mistranslation and the meaning was more “do you think this will be enough?” because the MC didn’t actually hit him and had to hold back last second. As the guy pointed out: he did ask if he was sure with only that weapon and he retracted the blow last second for his safety.
He was basically telling the MC that he picked a surekill weapon for a duel which he wouldn’t go through with killing. Which is why he called the MC naive for.
