This feels like a set of bullet points than something that flows. Clearly the curse has no real consequences other than it appears the man has no friends. Everyone outside the main two so far feel about as realized as a sign's post, existing only to support the speech bubble. Everything feels chaste and sanitized, even the slime encounter was just "here, look at this generic blob" and then they were gone
