Thank you for picking up the series! I’m surprised Kodansha never continued it on their end.

Anyway, yeah for a moment when I saw the volume and chapter numbers I had the same feeling you did

Imagine I just actually skipped over 650+ chapters
It's hard to say if there are any "chapters" in PTE. However, remember that there are 4komas, and that Bkub ends up sending them on social media too, so there is no "exact number".

Anyway, thanks for the translation. In Brazil, the person who translates doesn't have an exact order either, but at the same time they usually "adapt" the strips to a more Brazilian context. That's a suggestion too.

Well, in the volume, each strip has an associated number. That's kinda a chapter

Appreciate the upload, but also unsure if I missed any good one's in the gap. Thanks all the same.

You did understand that there is no gap, right?
OH? Sorry I guess I didn't. Even after reading through the comments. My bad. XD
Edit: Generally I don't open a chapter when it looks like I gap, so I didn't even see you credits explanation. This really is on me.

Nah, don't worry. I understand. I wouldn't really do either when there suddenly was a 600+ chapter jump

Old releases were organized by chapter based on how they were released on mangalifewin. Strips were posted daily Mon-Fri with 10 making up a chapter to start, but I think they ended up longer eventually. Each strip was individually numbered, sort of like a page count for the entire series. The last strip of a chapter usually had a "To be continued" note underneath it.

Volume was based on the "season" of the manga release on mangalifewin, which corresponded with the tankoban releases as well.

You can get an idea of what I'm talking about on the mangalifewin page for season one here, https://mangalifewin.takeshobo.co.jp/rensai/popute/ although they only have the first three chapters from season one posted online there now. I'm not sure if the release schedule is the same now though, so the numbering systems might not line up with how they're doing it in season nine.
