Maybe if she had climbed in the bathtub with him again like she usually did before now he would have woken up before the axe.

Even got the "their adventures will continue" style ending too with a tournament that we'll never see. Though I suppose for a manga with a premise as absurd as this, nearly twenty chapters isn't bad.

Only possible logic is his "head" is always at the "top" so when shes hitting balls its in the grip but when shes holding it the other way the head is in the face
