I got a feeling this subplot with the goddess only exists so that anime would have a final conflict/drama for the last episode, although I think plot with Gelee would've been better for it.

I don't remember God at all. Maybe because that was forgettable? Either way, cute cake form. That is probably going to be a nightmare to animate when this gets another season after the first season is a resounding success.
