I’m surprised nothing bad has happened to Dali throughout the entire story. She has been plot protected up to this point and has gotten over with the crap she had pulled

She needs serious help for her dependency issues(that were caused by Pyo to begin with). She legit thinks that he'll get bored of her and leave if she doesn't keep bringing in different women for him to screw and we've already seen that she hates the idea but does it anyway even when Pyo has vocally objected to it. Right now, it's a very unhealthy relationship and them "breaking up" so that she could get the help she needs and possibly getting back together can all happen during the big timeskip that's sure to be coming up.

I think you're missing the clear issue here. Pyo actually never vocally objected to any of it when she first said she'd bring other women so he wouldn't get bored of her. He's the one who pushed all the insecurities on her since college through his "taming". It's clear that the only way to fix these lingering issues with Dali is for Pyo to convince her otherwise. Breaking up with her is the exact opposite when he's already broken his promises with her not to leave her behind and go to jail. That's why he's been so sorry to her now.
