About the comment regarding the nod/gulp: I'm pretty sure the text is actually ゴクン (in the given font I can totally see confusing this with ゴワリ IMO) which as far as I can tell is usually "gulp" (assuming mechanic chick is nervous about the results of her thing being stolen).

I see, that makes way more sense. I also thought it could be a gulp (though I think it might because she also enticed to see Eva's face), but the two lines afterwards threw me off cuz I thought that meant some movement like a head nod. Thanks for your input. I don't think I'll make any changes until I'm well sure it's the case (I know nothing about Japanese after all) , but I'll keep that in mind now.

I suspect that "How beautiful" on page 15 is actually the "How cute" that the "Love is war" manga taught me can also be said sarcastically to mean pretty much "how pathetically worthless" (but "How cute" works good enough)
