I'm going to take a wild guess that she's going to end up hurting Miko again because one of the other ones does something screwy to either / both of them.

Because...he's basically setting boundaries for what could lead him to dislike her here so naturally I'm just assuming this to be a Chekov's Gun for drama (and thus more chapters) to occur.
