Maam I agree with your husband sad as it is he isn't family, he's a pet/dog not a family member, there's no dog in the family tree and you don't own family and shouldn't sacrifice your husbands arm for a dog even if dog wasn't sick. She sounds like the stereotypical cray dog lover.
