I was just thinking about this oneshot the other day! I never thought I'd find it again. I read it a long time ago. At the time I was somewhere in my early teens, I think, and had a lot of the same questions. I remember really enjoying it and coming away from it with a good feeling.
It hasn't really held up now that I'm older, and the whole thing felt pretty ridiculous, but I still found myself smiling at the ending. It was pretty cute, and I think I'm still quite fond of it.
