You know I just remembered something. Years ago when I was teaching English in jp the elementary school had one girl who was - not crazy smart, but just had cultural power for some reason. All the other 5th graders were Hana-chan, Yuuki-kun, but even the teachers called her Akiyama-san. (Not actual name).
