India is インド, while Indonesia is インドネシア. Not sure if it can be called a "simple" mistake, as they're both very different countries and the author should have made sure not to make this mistake, but oh well.

I would call that a simple mistake, yes, wherein someone who is unfamiliar with one country or the other could get easily confuse the two. Same with Austria and Australia, or Iraq and Iran.
