Random thoughts?
I will let go of all the feelings I feel, and try to explain many parts.
For scanlation and manga :
It's time to improve my japanese. And including you who also need it, someday. It's only for hobbies, but if you can master it, you will know how great it feels.
Scanlated manga is getting more and more boring. Nothing but kids stuff. At least, for me.
I don't mean it in a bad way. There are, some, light readings or overrated series that I follow because they are quite interesting too.
...I was cornered because there wasn't much I could follow.
Not all of them are completely wasting my time, but from the bottom of my heart, I need more.
Whenever I see Isekai everywhere, mushrooming, or Yaoi in the corner of my eye, I feel like "Oh, c'mon.."
Note : I don't hate it, I almost don't care. But, if possible I don't want to see it.
I can't do anything, just sit and look, the trend continues, changes over time and nothing can be done. It won't stop.
On the other hand, I feel grateful because there are still a mangaka who want to make serious stories, good plots, not affected by trends and focus with their respective streams. They survive and compete with young fighters.
Main problem : I still don't understand why there are only a few great series, maybe there is a lack of translators? real life circumstances? or prioritize the target audience (widely read)? Dunno. I don't have the right to judge it because there are many possible reasons. I appreciate the effort of each translator, it's quite difficult, I experienced it myself.
The rest, if anyone is interested then it's good, otherwise I can read it myself. I have quite a lot of good series out there in my hand which aren't scanlated by community.
If I try to grasp the current situation..
The more time passed, the more changed the conditions of the generation that inhabited it.
Reality works like that.
As a fan since 2006, a lot of meaningful changes, many series are known to be underrated but when it appears at the right time, for example when you were little, it will be a treasure in itself. There are pleasures where people once and now feel different from each other.
Many figures die, leave memories, and will be chewed with new packaging. Now everything is digital. Many magazines stopped because sales are decreasing when kindle colonizes. You, Hana to Yume, and many more. Let's see who will be the last man standing, how many survivors left.
And at the same time, the question is what is the fate of mangas? Will everything turn out to be digital? No physical book?
I can't imagine the worst scenario, immediately remember the article where the bookstore in Japan experienced a decline. Is this the end? How long it will last? Will Doraemon becomes real? *laugh nervously*
Slowly but surely, everything is changed.
