I've been reading Junji Ito's work since 2001. It's good but admittedly I grew a little tired of it a long time ago. However, this grabbed my attention as he's the illustrator and not the author. His style adds an extra touch of horror to a story based on real events. Perhaps it's not a magic to spread around thickly but I would not mind seeing him do more similar works.
