Thinking about it, there are quite a few works where a person can merge with the world/mana/nature around them, turning into some sort of pseudo god/spirit, but lose their sense of self. So they "die" as an individual, turning into a "law/concept". Not sure if it have a manga, but I remember Experimental log of the Crazy Lich, have something about it. There probably quite a few webtoon with law deities & individual deities too.

Hmmm, in this case I don't think we would have a Homura to help him, huh.... But yeah, it'd make sense if he became part of the system and started giving blessings and writing Psalms, not that it would make the way he "transcended" less laughable tho

Not in the same vain but Makoto from Moon-Led-Journey, his archery training and in recent chapter.

Glad they’re back at the forest base. I was honestly sick of the royal capital almost immediately after they dropped the princess off. It was such a boring setting stretched out by filler about running a random store and terrible “political intrigue.” Speaking of the princess, she’s worn out her welcome. Her scenes are boring now and also feel like filler.
