Thinking about it, there are quite a few works where a person can merge with the world/mana/nature around them, turning into some sort of pseudo god/spirit, but lose their sense of self. So they "die" as an individual, turning into a "law/concept". Not sure if it have a manga, but I remember Experimental log of the Crazy Lich, have something about it. There probably quite a few webtoon with law deities & individual deities too.

I always rooted for them because I always liked how they interacted with each other (love is in the air) and I'm enjoying a lot that they're officially together.

The way it happened was great, was done using less than a full page of a chapter, and that was enough.
