I know this is beating a dead horse (a-half-a-decade-now-basically-just-a-skeleton-horse in fact), but i still find it funny how LHtl still use John notification log and the rest of the gang as a logo even after having dropped their series ages ago.

LH has dropped every series taking part of their logo, which will never be not funny.

Day 300... He's barely 10 months old in that world age...
What was his age pre-isekai? Kinda forgot from so long ago. Also Kanami is the same age as him, but gobbos age like what, 10x the years to human agewise...? That would still make them barely 8 years old in human age... Just found it all funny

[prone to sweating] ..... Hilarious, until you realise he's able to "sweat" various variations of slime mucus , with each their own resistances and boosts... ( waaaaayyyy... from the beginning....)
May actually see a use of that... because the sillier skills tend to be highlighted as cheese strats against [Nextboss] in this one... 😉
And given he can get any random trait from what he eats... And there's a lot of junk in there...
Our boi can quite likely self-nerf so hard by now it's an art in and of itself.
( in the anime he did stack daylight vulns, and literally caught fire walking outside.... Can't be arsed to scan back to see if it's also in the manga.)

rewatching the anime, and from what's shown there... mid-30's or so in his original world.
And the gobbo line does mature faster, but not necessarily age faster. It's just that if they can't evolve, their life expectancy is... low... politely put.
If they manage to get to Hobgob.. better.. From there it's flavours of Ogre, which afaik have no different life expectancy here as humans. Possibly even longer.
It's the whole 'Monsters Evolve" thing , combined with his special skill of skill absorption..
But even if he hadn't had that... Because of the evolution system for monsters, they can rapidly evolve if they manage to get enough XP to hit that "level 100" consistently, and survive....
It's just a different version of powerlevelling, really..

how was the anime? it looked so bad that i didn't even try to watch it. just wanted to know if it is worth watching or ignoring.

As mentioned, it's getting a second season.
As far as good/bad.... There's worse out there, but it's basically a speed recap of the early chapters/plotlines, so you're not missing out.
