Also,yes,this whole shebang about getting into trouble from the school despite happening at home screams a set up,since even if the cousin was straight laced,she probably didn't tell the school,whilst her sneaking into the bathroom with her phone screams set up.

I think there is some sort of rule in the school against interstudent relationships or something, which was why he was in trouble when rumors of him having a harem sex club going was a thing.

like you see this in alot of manga and doing a little research on how japan is a culture of shame and honor would help you understand alot of mc behavior in manga.

It's totally plausible that this whole sequence of events was orchestrated by someone in the school, as many of you have pointed out. Like in this chapter, Muragami-sensei suspiciously asserted there was a "reason for expulsion". The real reason wasn't revealed.
It's also plausible that someone went into their house and stripped them or something. And then spiked their drinks. Yeah, it's a harsh punishment, but we still shouldn't forget that this whole thing involves underage adult activities.
