starting to see a pattern. Mc finds a new, strong enemy. Boom, switch perspectives to someone who gives us the information needed to see how powerful the enemy is. Every time this happens, and it happens multiple times during a fight, it's right on the verge of when the main character is about to beat the enemy.
main character finds a new enemy
perspective switch info dump, then back to fight
main character about to win
perspective switch again for more info dump, then back to fight
tables turn and the enemy is suddenly more powerful
main character somehow struggles and comes close to beating enemy
switch perspectives again, another info dump then back to fight
powered up enemy again
that's the formula for most of the fights in this. the only difference is how many times they use this. for weaker opponents, they do it once or twice, if the opponent is particularly powerful, they do it 2-4 times depending on how important the fight is to the plot.
