that female manager has been her since like 10 chapters ago and this is the first speech bubble where she actually praises the mc for a bit, still don't like her at all though! Plus the mc could save her having to go through this all if he stopped caring about remaining in the shadows and not seeking out fame even though his face was streamed so I still don't understand how people cant recognise him other than lazy writing.
I'm still waiting for the Amnesia to become perelavent, like it's only being used in cases where suddenly he doesn't know his girlfriend (bad), and famous people that alot of people know (good) . He doesn't even seem concerned or freaked out so it's... frustrating.
Anyways on to what you were talking about. I agree the manager just seems like a dislikeable and biased character but I kinda understand her perceptive because alot of people are concerned about reputation over at China. If you have a scandalous reputation people will just dislike whomever you affliate with, so I just treat her as a stuborn traditionalist.
And whilst there is the annoyance that the MC could just go on a face-slapping journey of being omega chad, it'd kill it's appeal fast, right? I mean it's still killing it's appeal for however long they keep doing this as it becomes bland and repetitive, but for what reason should an amnesia having mc care about fame? I see him remaining in the shadows more as trying to keep major attention away from him so that he can .... yeah no I can't justify it, it's probably just the author seeing a certain japanese mob work and wanting to make a somewhat similar work set in modern times... so yeah I'd say annoying censors, lazy writing, or maybe a bad adaptation if there's a novel
