i think before they just had artificial insemination tho other than it being incentivized it'd prolly be a lot of tedious paperwork (altho too bad it's not that difficult irl [minus gay couples trying to adopt/infertile ppl], considering some of that birthrate increase might be 'unwanted' pregnancies, altho we learn that like a ton of the population was having secret sex anyways)

Ah fuck yeah, an ending that didn't suck!

I have to wonder if you people have incredibly low standards or garbage tastes, this ending sucked but then again from looking at the score and reviews from other sites this might just be the minority.

Series had no idea what the fuck it wanted to be and just seem to completely go off the rails at the halfway point introducing far too many subplots and side characters which didn't amount to anything while forgetting about the femc entirely until the last few chapters. There was no point to the MCs transformation, the femc and mother gets away scott free and everything just seem to resolve itself with the only takeaway being "just have sex lol".

Just a complete waste of time.

No, the first initial chapters make it seem like to be a completely different series than what it would eventually become.

Do you understand the concept of "relative". I never said anything was "good" or of "quality", but in my years of reading manga, I've seen a lot. I guess I should rephrase my initial comment for you.

The ending, was relatively better than the ending of many series I've read that had a more serious tone.

Wait this could be a 4D chess move.
If the government banned sex in Japan, people would see it as a taboo, right? But because of the banned nature that would lead people into wanting to do it, creating a Streisand effect on sexual activity. Those who want sex would do it secretly, and would feel the secret jealousy of those who cant. Once the ban is lifted, sexual activity would explode baby boomer style now that anybody can do it. Those who were celibates and "missed out" on sexual activity would feel like they'd need to catch up to the sexually active, making a culture fervent in sex, thus increasing the birth rates.
This honestly seems like a decent plan to generate a lot of births in a period of time.
Or maybe I'm trying my hardest to make sense of this batshit insane manga. Oh well
