I hope Aoba puts at least a bit of striking into his game. It'd be nice to see him make use of dominant positions and get some ground and pound going
Agreed it would be really depressing if he just gave up entirely on actually being a real mixed martial artist and never again trying to enhance his ground game with the added sub weaponry of striking.
Plus, it would just feel kind of stupid, considering he literally just saw an Olympic level grappler get pissed up for not understanding striking fundamentals enough. As a joke it just comes off weak and from a tactical perspective, it just feels lazy af imo
I hope to be proven dead wrong in the future tho and we get a Japanese Charles Oliveria 🙏
