One thing that stands out to me in this tournament is how it's a really good representation of amateur MMA; almost every fighter except for Hadzuru had glaring holes in their game - Aoba has almost no striking offence and meh wrestling, Sekiya just had big punches, and Harijiou had really bad fight IQ and focus.

Also having Aoba win by steamrolling one guy, barely winning against the second and winning the third match by DQ is a good way to get him to win the tournament but also still have him be a mega underdog for the next one.

I dont know man, mc getting all the win is kinda meh.
So are we just gonna ignore the 30+ chapters of build up Aoba had to reach this level? The fact his record is 1 finish, 1 Decision Win, and 1 win from DQ? On top of that he mainly only superior to his injured opponent mentally speaking.

I’m usually not a fan of main characters getting too many Ws but this isn’t one of those moments. This is a pretty realistic end result given his current level.

Agreed. From a realism standpoint and a narrative standpoint this was a shockingly solid tournament arc. Also the authors ability to make a pack of assholes(Shark Gym Bros) this likeable is a very good sign lmfao! Makes me feel hopeful for the future of this odd but interesting series.

I think what I’m looking forward to the most is Aoba likely being labeled the Heel of the upcoming tournament storyline by the press and likely rabid fans of Hadzuru and his gym

Mainly due to the(in universe wise)suspect circumstances of Aoba’s “victory” and his willingness to target the injury of a “Face” from a very very popular gym.

such a bizarre series to snipe lol. no translations for a year then suddenly it's high enough demand for this to happen? the fact that they're skipping chapters that you guys have uploaded is so scummy too.

Thanks for the chapters, won't be reading the other group's.

Yeah, it’s weird as hell to wait nearly an entire year and for someone else to start working on it before making a move. Are we missing something?

Probably the other translators' post in the chapter 36 comments where they said they had been working on the series before DarkReunion ever posted their versions, and that this only got misinterpreted as sniping because they were slower to release.

Things like this have made me wonder if there should be some kind of translation claiming system, where people or groups can announce that they're currently working on a series so that 2 different people or groups don't end up doing the same thing at the same time. I've seen it happen a number of times before, and it seems to have happened here again.

Agreed. I feel like that would be a pretty reasonable way to avoid sniping and misunderstandings alike. Really hoping this was an awkward timing thing.
