The "rules" on how his skill works is a little whoozy but it's safe to say he doesn't have to see the skill or touch the person. There's no reason she would have shown things like "sewing" in the street, let alone every single one of the 108 skills.

I think that's fine. I don't think we read this manga to quibble on it to that level.

On another note, that genderbend spell must not have worked fully. Mikagami still had his giant balls of steel to put his life on the line just to get info.

Or does he just need visual contact to copy NEW abilities and he keeps the one he copied? In that case MC probably has nothing to worry about rn

If you're referring to Alice, he never left the arena (in fact, I'm pretty sure it's shown in his fight against Marl that you can't leave the arena). He also cheated by sneaking in a paralytic.

As for the acquisition, we don't know for sure; we can assume he keeps those he's copied, but I don't think we've actually seen him use a copied skill after a fight, so he may only be able to copy it as long as he can see it being used.

In which case, a smokescreen would absolutely neuter his abilities and be one more reason why his skill is considered trash tier.

Alternatively, it's entirely possible that Fine has a nullification ability, though I think that would have been worth mentioning when discussing her disjointed skills.
