After seeing some of the backstory on this (it literally being a progenitor of regression series), I see the tropes & don't mind as much. I'm annoyed that it took this long to get a series, and that the slop that it inspired kinda brings down some of what was supposed to be cool moments; looking at this series is like looking at photos of established dog breeds then vs now pictures, this looking relatively normal in comparison.

It's entertaining at first, the plot kinda makes sense and the art style is good
But after the 80-90 episode it gets bad, like the plot holes appear more frequently
