What's hilarious is that if you read the other series, you already know what's Shiki's and Haijiama's "secret".

We're just being made witness of Tachibana's struggles to make sense of it (and of her own feelings).

Though what the grudge of Kurisaki against Haijima is about is still unknown.

I am utterly bad with their names but if that's the girl with a vengeance plot, no she has not yet had a story explaining why she is the way she is

To be fair, we know only some parts of Shiki and sensei's story from the main manga, we don't know if in some in-between there was a "further step" in their relationship.
Also, what's best of this manga (similarly to Harmony) is that they're told from the point of view of the MC of this manga, not of some omniscient narrator. MC of this manga is crazy in love with Shiki and yet probably has no idea of what "Yuri" is. Plus, she's 14. Chuunibyou stuff like the hand-kiss is a masterpiece in making understand how much she is involved in this spy-story shit she has in her own mind.
