Yes. I noticed this too when I first read. That that other person's speech patterns are very similar to Sartain's characteristic, authoritative “fatherly”. speech patterns when the story first started.

Nice to know that it can still be seen in the translation as it's actually very hard and not always possible or successful to try to translate speech patterns between languages.

I have no idea why “Sartain” is the official romanization on the cover but I went with that. The Japanese name really sounds a lot like “thirteen” and it's far more obvious there. Also this “apoptosing”. The Japanese word is just “self-destruction”, nothing that fancy referring specifically to programmed cell-death.

Guess the story wouldn't go into it, but i suppose putting an aromantic person's brain into one wouldn't be an issue then but other than living as a doll, feels like better to use them to fix up things and go to 'dangerous areas' if it is some kinda post apocalypitc world

I'm honestly not sure how this storyline fits into the first chapter's explanation that they were sold as love dolls and the entire catalog thing and how they were burned because they looked stupid when falling in love:

Maybe they are using the doll toys to fund the actual project or maybe it was all a lie that's being fed to dolls (and us)

Seems like Sartain has a rival for Kusari unless that rival is actually Sartain
