One again: Vocatives need always to be offset by punctuation.
Right:
“Scott? Where are you?”
“Scott, where are you?”
“Where, Scott, are you?”
“Where are you, Scott?”
“Where are you? Scott?”
Wrong:
“Scott where are you?”
“Where Scott are you?”
“Where are you Scott?”
Vocatives such as “my dear”, “lad”, and “lass” are not somehow exceptions.
