lol other than free food/drinks, group dates/mixers seem like a pain if ur not social. tho i guess you can fake an emergency text and leave or as a teen say ur parents are strict but yeah i'm sure some stuff works out hilarious if there was some comedy one shot/series where a bunch of 'attractive scammers' just set up group dates to string along other ppl/scumbags to get revenge or money but i'm just tangenting
tho even if it's 'filling in numbers' surely they're not that small of a company versus him admitting from the start he's married (bc other than him taking his ring off i'd think most ppl's gaze would go towards his ring hand/finger)
I mean given the premise of this series. he prolly will give in eventually. or he'll be set up in a 'compromising position' and caught even if he wasn't in the wrong or so. but since Karin asked out bartender boy i can imagine them setting up some group hangout/double date and Mirai-kun obviously flirting with karin in front of him to see how he reacts (if not manipulating her into saying some passive aggressive jabs like "Why aren't you more proactive like him" or something like that)
it's not impossible for men and women to be platonic friends but it's def something you tell your partner if you're meeting up with someone not a coworker unless he's so much of a social butterfly (which he's not) to the point where he's always spending time with others but i think by the time one gets married they'd prioritize their spouse if not invite them along too

I thought that maybe the guy wasn't too terrible and maybe it was mostly Karin doing the work, but he is complete garbage. I guess he had some sort of inferiority complex and was super weak to beautiful women, but you don't meet a woman that is not your wife often and for a 6 month period... and now he feels bad about what he did to FMC, so he doesn't want to do it again, because he would feel even worse...
