This chapter is so weird. So far everything (other than a demon using colored contact lenses???) has given off an old tech vibe; like industrial era old. Then all of a sudden this guy's using robots with antennas and TV screens... It kinda killed the vibe of the whole thing.

Then again, I was already wary when the MC had sex with his basically adopted daughter. Think I'll pass on the rest of this series.

@DizzyDazzle I assume this is because he is a major inventor of the Regalia the MC constantly remarks of lowering the standards of magicians. The stalker guy keeps his latest and greatest tech for himself and purposely releases regalia that is far behind what he is working on currently; making him seem always on top. It's similar to what phone companies have been doing to us for the past two decades.

I really hope they end up as friends, as opposed to enemies; it'd be a nice change of pace if he seemed kind of creepy at first, but really, he's just one of those kids who never learned any social skills because he spent so much time studying.

"No, it's fine for now" - no it isn't. You should get rid of him the moment you realize he's doing something sketchy. After all, just because you destroy their spying machine doesn't mean they'll stop. On the contrary, they'll try to dig your secrets out even more. Of course, he doesn't have evil intentions (probably, seeing how this manga has been so far), but he will drag our MC to all kinds of trouble without a doubt. So better get rid of the troublemaker on day 1.
