Even then, how the story went still warms my heart, at first chapter I thought this story was your run-of-the-mill edgelord revenge fest. But damn if Hugo shedding tears at his granddaughter didn't draw mine too 🥺

Thought this was the direction it was going. I will say I foresaw that he would be "forgiving" the father about 10 chapters in, there was just something about their interactions that made it seem like he wasn't that scummy.
Not to say he isn't harsh, he's going to send many of his 'hounds' out to die quite happily, but there's a difference between that and just killing them for the sake of it.

The leaked fact of set being a demon sure is fun to read. But i was expecting something more twisted. Remember that Bichir can smell the scent of demon. He noticed it right away after meeting set during the banquet. But strangely he never notice any scent from him before the regression.

My theory is that the appearance of the demon related to the act. This could led to the answer of the mystery of the regression itself as it may be done by the demon for their own good. So then they killed the current set after the regression and impersonate him

Also another theory is that hugo was never meant to be a bad person. It could the demon doing of the kidnapping of penelope that led to his breakthrough. If this really happens it would spice up the story a lot more.

Althought it would never be true anyway. But it was fun guessing the future aftercome
