Now, it's not like I have first hand experience or anything, but I highly discourage using a home bean bag to slide along a wood floor after running to gain speed. Since not all materials are the same, you might find yourself in a situation where the force applied causes it to burst open on the opposite end.
Like I said, I've never seen this exact thing happen with my own eyes; but as I understand it, the insides are likely tiny styrofoam balls and all that activity will probably have got them all riled up with static charge. Such a state makes them very difficult to pick-up by hand, sweep, or vacuum.
...or so I've heard.
