The only way to get through those books is if they're required to buy because of money bullshit, despite only using at most one page. A book properly suited for a course can be enough for the entire course.

Luckily when I studied I never had a book I was required to buy, as long as I could study the material properly. But I've heard some horror stories where the students are forced to buy several expensive books or fail the course, even if those books are barely used for anything in the actual course, tests included.

This unironically helped me out in my exam. I was a little confused with FBDs but on the morning as i prepared to head out for the exam, i was reading this and coincidentally reached this chapter. This chapter's illustrations made me go "eureka" as i whipped out my calculator and notes then finally got the answer to my uncertainties.
