Rereading this, it's kinda weird the "The thought of living life as a vampire disgusts me!". Pretty out of place for me, as I don't think it was estabelished before he hated being a "monster"

well he was terrified of them. so i dont think he's actually disgusted. he said got emotional and said something stupid out of fear. he is a teenage boy after all. so he's impulsive and prone to saying things he'll regret
