I feel like the pacing here was just off. There's a cliffhanger where he invites her to join his team, then Ayano randomly and conveniently shows up to undo that offer at the very beginning of the next chapter, and then we instantly cut to Kokoro passing and getting into the main show. I'm getting carsick from all the jerky plot developments.
