Bruh, both MC and Igarashi are fundamentally wrong in the same way when it comes to Kokoro. MC's like "she tries really hard and is really passionate so she should be allowed to try to become a fashion designer!" and Igarashi's like "she's way more talented as a model so she should give up on being a fashion designer!", but neither of those things matter at all. What matters is that neither one of them have the right to decide for her what she should do. She's not a child and they are not her parents. Kokoro can be the shittiest, laziest and least motivated fashion designer wannabe in the whole world, but if she wants to try, nobody can force her to do otherwise. Japan can have whatever culture it likes, but it fundamentally recognizes this fact due to the fact that it's a free, democratic society. It's encoded in law that she can pursue happiness however she likes. So please fuck off with your paternalistic bullshit, both of you.
