okay. god. i cant be the only one who think the pacing of the story is a little bit too fast, right?
but most importantly: is this saying that the prince getting engaged with a commoner lady-in-waiting helped solidify his position? how and why? in the eyes of the royals who aren't in the know of her skills she has nothing to offer except love. in fact, wouldn't making a newly hired palace worker his consort makes people question the prince's decision-making skill?

It does feel a little fast-paced. Like, at the very least Kohaku just immediately accepts that it had to be someone other than the prince that got her village wiped, based on the word of the person she blames for it? I mean, he's a nice guy and all but still.
That said, it seems like a fun enough manga, I don't mind just enjoying the ride, barring a pile-up of massively questionable plot decisions I suppose.
