I feel like the treasure, if it exists, does not have mystical properties, space rocks or not, because the manga has been too grounded to start doing Indiana Jones Ryu and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Jade Bi shenanigans at this point.

Maybe it is just plutonium? It would have scientific military value in a pre-manhattan project world when the nuke was only a theoretical doomsday weapon and uranium enriching didnt really exist. Still no way it could be natural plutonium. I suppose it is natural bog standard U235 but just in an abnormally high concentration? What a waste to destroy such a priceless ancient artifact to get something they can mass refine in 10 years. I predict Ryu will single handedly stop the Japanese and Taiwanese from developing the first nuke in order to do the right thing.
