Gonna be a at least a year or two to get the kid to grow and stuff. Maybe theyll skip the whole war not knowing it.

I think the Japanese will reach their village, he'll fight and then regain his memory that he himself is Japanese. Whoo boy the drama potential.
He has always been half Chinese and half Japanese, we have followed Ryu's childhood where he believed he was fully Japanese, now we follow Long who believes he is fully Chinese. Imagine getting embroiled in a war between two sides of yourself. I wonder what the context of Ryu in a pilot suit in the cover art will be, since he definitely won't join the Japanese air force.
