I believe it's something else. Page 9 of the previous chapter has Hikaru looking at a closed door and musing about the dragon itself talking about a "master". That seems to indicate the master is something else than a dragon and is behind the closed door. Hikaru furthermore hoped the real master isn't another big dragon.

Sorta. As the Healing Hero, the Princess is just drugging him into compliance. He can heal the armless Sword lady, but that doesn't make any of them stronger. Just restores lost pawns. MC can power up any individual. 10s, to easily buff someone 20-33% for 1 SP. And this would snowball as stronger people can more easily earn more SP.

And a huge chunk of the Slow Life genre is to not be stuck slaving away for a Black Company. It's a literal Japanese yearning for freedom. So, trying not to be enslaved fits into that mold.
