At this point wouldn't the spear of the Faraway Paladin who helped recover their home have more of an impact to the dwarves rather than their ceremony sword. Plus imagine how much more he will accomplish by the time he retires

That bit about standing out for enemies makes me think about tanks in fictional worlds that don't have aggro. Like do they just have to wear the most flamboyant bright colored outfits? Like would a tank in a world like some space MMO just constantly wear neon flashing lights? Now I wanna read that series.

Well, dang. He actually did get the legendary Calldawn turned into a spear. No actual reforging was probably done, just replacing the "handle" with a longer one.

Go get that white armor if it stands out in battle... grabbing attention on the battlefield is only a plus for a tank anyway, and Will is happy to perform that role so his party members can "DPS" safely. Now that I think about it, he can play tank, DPS or healer whenever he needs to... he really is overpowered in MMO terms.
