Wow like a 2-3 page set of events stretched out to an entire chapter. I might have to go 2 or 3 chapters back though as I forgot like more then half the characters lol
Yeah, I get that feeling as well. There are a lot of characters who blend together a lot, and there's so much talking about people rather than showing who people are.

A scythe seems like a poor weapon for an assassin
It's generally a poor weapon, tbh. Smaller versions work a bit better, and this one isn't that large.

There is a military scythe which is basically a spear with a straight scythe type blade so not the stereotypical one you see in stuff and it's pretty useful... not for an assassin though.

Sister Friede wants to know your location.
There are tons of scythes in fiction with that 90° configuration used in battle. Some of the time, in particular if it's a Death-inspired character, are primarily for intimidation or symbolism, which is fine. As Dwarfy above mentioned, proper war scythes have their blade in line with the shaft, not perpendicular to it.

Side trivia, most of these scythes are symmetrical in the plane of the blade, while real harvest scythes have a tilted blade so that it's angled properly for harvesting when you hold it down towards the ground like you're supposed to use it. The blade is also too narrow to be sturdy enough for combat, although it works in a pinch.

And the sister on the left shoots the sister on the right in the kidneys, on the last page.

This is obviously why the shinobi adapted them for their use... :p

The full european type harvesting scythe is, of course, silly and dramatic.
You put the things upright on a pole and use them to wtfpwn cavalry ( used that way both in Europe and Asia ...)
But the hand scythes , with some very subtle alterations to strengthen them, are equivalent to Rabenschnabel.
Will eat through mail, gives plate armour a really hard time, and does a real number on japanese-type lamellar armour.

But yeah... Scythes do not good weapons make... ;)

While I am well-aware that scythes can make good weapons, a polearm isn't really the kind of thing I'd consider to be stealthy and this girl is bringing a full-sized one when the other maid clearly has access to pistols.

Does it look cool? Oh sure, I'm down for a cool looking scythe any day. But that doesn't mean I'm not going to shitpost about how it doesn't look like a good choice for the situation.

define stealthy? If you mean sneaking through the shadows and being all grimdark assassin type, sure. If you mean failing to arouse suspicion, then whatever most blends in with the environment and your appearance is best. Going through a rural area dressed up as a farmer? Scythe is a perfect choice for blending in, if perhaps a bit inefficient.

Also, are we ever getting more issues translated?

They are now almost 2 full volumes behind and the gap is growing bigger each month. The last chapters have some pretty big character development.
