That's pretty shortsighted, kitty. Well, maybe she just doesn't have all the facts. Pushing him into to "Pure" route where he'll keep denying lewd acts from anyone, thinking it was just some a "prank" pretty much locks him further into the Hero Girl's route and futher away the Harem route.

I don't want Cross turning into something similar like that protag in Tsuki ga Michibiku where even if the girls tell it to his face that they love him or practically giftwrap themselves in lingerie, he'd likely still think it was a prank or something

...you can't be serious, right? did the LN slow the progress even harder, or has the manga not caught up to further down the line, then?

not saying he doesn't get stuck like that for a while...just that I had hoped by this point in the adaptation he had already gotten past it.

To be fair, a Hero is meant to come out on top, no matter the odds. After all, beating dragons, the undead, mages, and thieves, it's all part of the job description.

Plus isn't his OP ability to gain stats and skills kinda similar to danmachi? He just wants to be worthy of the hero, who he idolises or something. So his gains will probably stop the moment he would end up dating her or rather the moment he believes he is good enough to be next to her.
