The thing is -- even if the character admits to their shitty behavior, it doesn't necessarily make it any less shitty, ya'know?
The main issue I'm having with this type of a character, are the info dumps. H-o-l-y shit, the info dumps. She talks WAY too much, and slowed down the entire chapter's pacing to a crawl.

It also came across as a little kid going: "well, you can shoot fireballs, well, uh, I absorbed an anti-fireball fibre, so there!" -- it's not very interesting, especially when the villain's monologue is about something surface-level that's easily discernable without being told about it.
